Taiwan's Strategy to Boost Digital Economy: AI Industrial Parks

In an ambitious move to further develop its digital economy, Taiwan’s government plans to establish two Artificial Intelligence (AI) industrial parks. Led by Digital Affairs Minister Huang Yen-nan, this initiative is set to attract AI startups from around the globe.

Aiming High: NT$1 Trillion Goal

The government has set a target of increasing the local digital economy’s output to over NT$1 trillion within the next two years. This plan is a strategic initiative to leverage the ongoing global AI boom and stimulate economic growth.

A Joint Endeavour

The Ministry of Digital Affairs and the National Development Council will work together to establish the AI industrial parks. These parks are meticulously designed to attract AI startups from around the world, furthering Taiwan’s position in the global digital economy.

Comprehensive Software and Hardware Cluster

The AI industrial parks are envisioned to create an extensive cluster of software and hardware in Taiwan. This is expected to drive digital economic growth and help achieve the set target of pushing the local digital economy’s output value above NT$1 trillion.

Minister Huang Yen-nan, an expert in data security, communications, and AI development, is leading this strategic initiative. The plan is seen as a significant step in capitalizing on the global AI boom and fostering Taiwan’s digital economic growth.
