SoundHound AI and Perplexity Collaborate to Enhance Voice Assistants

SoundHound AI, an international leader in voice artificial intelligence, is partnering with Perplexity, a conversational AI-powered answer engine. This collaboration aims to integrate Perplexity’s online LLM abilities into SoundHound’s Chat AI, strengthening the latter’s status as a leading voice assistant in the market.

Elevating Voice Assistant Capabilities

The integration of Perplexity’s LLM capabilities means SoundHound’s Chat AI can now provide accurate, real-time responses to complex web-based queries. For instance, users could ask comparative queries like “How does the price of gas this week compare to last week?” and receive responses that combine current gas prices data with an AI-generated explanation.

Expanding User Interaction

Such web-based query handling expands the range of questions the Chat AI can manage. Users can also command the assistant to “Navigate to the nearest gas station,” a feature that uses SoundHound’s technology to integrate data from relevant sources with the device’s navigation software.

SoundHound’s voice AI products have nearly 20 years of experience in AI, speech recognition, and natural language processing. A Notable First
